Since the year 2012, May 25th gets more and more radiant each year! I can remember it like yesterday at Northside Hospital welcomin
g another "Georgia Peach" (as her Papa calls her) into the world!

As Father's Day approaches, I scrolled down a few of my social channels today and began to hear (read) chatter of various disgruntled users making the point that Father's Day seemingly continues to receive the short end of the stick in comparison to how we as a society celebrate Mother's Day? I thought to myself "Is it true?" or "Does it even matter?", I really did not give it much more thought before closing out my browser. While working, I began to reflect on the many joys of fatherhood. I even heard a subconscious echo of my own father saying to me "Son you can't buy that in Dollar General", he sometimes changes his stores all while making the point that love can never be replaced by material things! I just had one of those amazing moments a little over a week ago while celebrating my daughter's 5th birthday. Having had the idea to start her own collection of products for sometime now, I felt like there was no time like the present to make it happen. This would mark her first birthday we've celebrated in her birth state of Georgia! Somewhere between the fabric store and finding a seamstress to complete the piece I realized that this was a BIG deal!
Seeing the reaction on your 5 year old birthday girl's face when she witnesses the light is amazing! I mean how many five year olds get to have their own dress/clothing collection? (I certainly did not) I really thought of it as a "key moment", unlocking a new level. A New Level that embodies the alchemic way of creating our tomorrows with our divine actions today! Honestly as a father, it is efforts like these that will last far beyond my existence! So with each shirt we produce, we further cement that fact that Father's Day is EVERYDAY!
Summer Job
Early this summer, my wife's oldest niece Amber ( whom I think is really her daughter lol) came to live with us. A recent High School graduate and college student, Amber is an amazing creative artist! So one day as Amber sat and filled out an application for a job for the summer, it dawned on me that I had the perfect job for her! I proceeded to call Amber into my office and pointing to a dress I'd had hanging in my office for some time as motivation to complete this task, I began to share with her the idea/concept I had in mind. Over the next couple of days, I saw her quietly working on this piece. She would bring me some references to see if the creative direction was in line with what I'd requested. I've never shared it with her, but as she worked on this project there was something special about it! It was almost as if every single moment I'd procrastinated and not done this was divinely ordered? This piece was to be created by her and her only!
After completing this piece, Amber got hired at Kroger and began work. I'll share this with everyone reading this article, I am a craftsman at heart! So I have a special place for people using their God given abilities to create. I know this is something that Amber has a deep passion for, and helping bring this to life for her little cousin is only the beginning. So with each purchase or the support of the GA Peach Collection, we are supporting the realization of a dream! The realization that we possess the ability to create our tomorrow by what we create today!
